A new arts festival is set to turn Wimbledon Village’s Grade II* listed Cannizaro Park into a must-visit arts destination. Taking place on Sunday 19th September, Art in the Park combines masterclasses for adults of all artistic abilities, family friendly workshops, a sculpture trail and an art fair showcasing local talent.
The one-day event is supported by Viking, the award-winning cruise line, and has been created by a dedicated volunteer team of artists from The Friends of Cannizaro Park. Continuing a rich history of art displays in the park’s beautiful landscape, this event is held in collaboration with Merton Arts Festival, the park’s ACAVA artists’ studios and Wimbledon Bookfest’s Sunset Festival, which is taking place on the same weekend.
All our classes are now sold out but there is plenty to do at Art in the Park without booking - browse in the art fair, help build a community sculpture, wander along the sculpture trail, or drop in at the Art Hub to pick up materials and try something creative for your self. Join us for a day of creativity and community!
