cannizaro park volunteer formWe always welcome volunteers to help the Friends of Cannizaro. If you are interestedinvolunteering please print out the volunteer form on the right and return it to : Anne Peacock, Friends of Cannizaro Park, Willow House, 35 High Street, SW19 5BY

Our Volunteer programme has been up and running for two years wih most encouraging results. The Friends of Cannizaro are responsible for the planting and maintenance of the Herb Garden, where you will find a variety of herbs flourishing happily. We also maintain the Iris Beds and the Rose Garden, and lend a hand wherever else we can in the Park. We meet regularly on Tuesday mornings at 10.30 (weather permitting) in the Herb Garden.

All volunteers will be expected to attend a brief training session before starting. This will ensure that every volunteer is confident in handling equipment, has sufficient knowledge of tasks and is briefed on health and safety.  All volunteers will be covered by insurance from Merton Council.

Volunteer Update : August 2017

The roses have flourished this summer and we have devoted much time to watering and weeding the beds to ensure the roses look their best.

Last week we took out some unproductive, very old roses and we plan to replace them towards the end of September. One of our Volunteers has collected the rose-hips to make tea from them.
